Vagabond - a fascinating, funny, and touching memoir by Tim Curry.

Tim Curry's career has been truly extraordinary. His iconic role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show was followed by a wide range of performances on screen and stage, showcasing his versatility. In addition to Rocky Horror, roles in Annie, Clue, and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York are also memorable audience favorites. Curry's portrayal of Pennywise in the 1990 TV mini-series, It, might be the most terrifying clown ever. In his memoir, Vagabond, the Appendix lists Curry's many parts. It's quite a resume. Curry makes it clear from the onset that this book does not delve into his romantic life, which, he says respectfully, is none of our "f-ing" business.

Curry's stories of his numerous escapades make for a captivating read. It's hard to believe that it's been fifty years since The Rocky Horror Picture Show premiered. Having attended one of the midnight screenings, I enjoyed reading about the development of the play, which ultimately led to the movie. By the end of the book, I felt such affection for the versatile actor. Curry's outlook on life is incredibly refreshing. Despite suffering a stroke in 2012 that almost took his life and left him paralyzed on his left side, his love for life and sense of humor persist. He continues to look forward. This book is fascinating, touching, funny, and simply delightful.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars.
