Caller Unknown - a mother risks everything to save her daughter in this fast-paced thriller.

Simone survived a challenging childhood, but now, life is good. Living in the UK, she is happily married to Damien, has a treasured daughter, Lucy, and a thriving career as a restaurateur.  With Lucy preparing to head off to university, Simone planned a mother-daughter vacation together in Texas. But the unthinkable happens soon after they are together in Texas. In the middle of the night, Lucy is abducted from their remote cabin, and a phone has been left behind. Simone is given precise instructions on what she needs to do to save her daughter, and that includes not contacting the police. When she calls Damien, he insists on contacting the police, but she refuses. Simone is shocked when the stranger on the phone doesn't demand ransom money. Instead, she is directed to travel to Mexico and perform a dangerous and likely criminal task. Nevertheless, Simone is willing to do anything to save Lucy - this is not a time for moral dilemmas.

Caller Unknown by Gillian McAllister is a fast-paced thriller that taps into every parent's fears. Simone is forced to make tough decisions, but when it comes to saving her daughter, she is prepared to risk everything. The story is filled with heart-pounding action and suspense. While a bit over-the-top, it was an entertaining and twisty ride.
