And Now, Back to You - an entertaining "opposites attract" romcom between two Baltimore meteorologists brought together to cover a major snowstorm.

Jackson Clark is a meteorologist at a local Baltimore radio station. He's a strait-laced, serious yet kindhearted guy who is the legal guardian of his 15-year-old twin sisters, leaving little time for romance. Delilah Stewart is a much-loved reporter at the local TV station YBAL. While she too has had a challenging family background, she maintains an upbeat, sunny disposition. Delilah is also a meteorologist but has recently been given assignments that place her in demeaning situations by her arrogant boss Keith, the former "Face of Baltimore," who appears to have it in for the popular young broadcaster who wants to be taken seriously. As a major snowstorm approaches the area, Deliliah is paired with Jackson to cover the weather from a lodge in the mountains. After a rough start, they open up to one another and reveal their true selves. Each might be just what the other needs, if they are willing to take a chance.  

And Now, Back to You is the second installment in B.K. Borison's Heartstrings series. Having enjoyed First-Time Caller, it's clear that this new book can be read as a standalone. Delilah and Jackson are very appealing, as are the book's supporting characters, with the exception of Keith and Camille, the neglectful and selfish mother who gave up custody of the sweet twins Adeline and Penelope. This is a romcom so there is no secret as to what is bound to happen, but the journey is an enjoyable one. There's a touch of spice as things heat up, but nothing excessive. This was a refreshing break from a reading list often filled with emotional, complex, and dark themes. A third book is expected next year, and I'm looking forward to it.
