Too Close to Home - a gripping domestic thriller you won't be able to put down.

The affluent lakefront community of Cloverhill Lakes, Connecticut, takes pride in its close to zero crime rate. But at its annual Labor Day picnic, Regan Hoffman's car explodes, killing one of the other housewives, who had the misfortune of borrowing the car. Why would anyone want to harm Regan? But under the surface, conflict has already been brewing. Regan, who has a daughter, is still grieving the death of her husband, Jack. Andi, a mother of two, has found new happiness with Carson, but is being harassed by her ex-husband's new, younger wife, Tia, who is trying to prove that Andi is an unfit mother. Soon after the car bombing, Tia goes missing during a run, with accusing eyes focusing on Andi. Meanwhile, Sasha, who is new to the area, grows increasingly concerned about her teenage son Drew's troubling behavior. Fear escalates when there's a bomb threat at the school. When Regan believes she has seen Jack, her dead husband, is her mind playing tricks on her, or is something more sinister going on? What is going on in Cloverhill Lakes? 

Seraphina Nova Glass has written a creative, tense and engaging story in Too Close to Home. Told through the perspectives of Regan, Andi, and Sasha, each woman's secrets are exposed as the mysteries unfold. Every chapter ends with a shocking cliffhanger, building great anticipation for what lies ahead. I alternated between reading the book and listening to the excellent audio version, which features three strong narrators who enhanced the experience. This is a fast-paced, twisty thriller that deserves to be adapted for the screen.
