This Jury Is Guilty - a Hollywood star is on trial for trying to have his actress wife killed, while members of the jury scheme and attempt to manipulate each another.

One of the country's biggest trials is about to begin. Hollywood superstar Danny Scott is accused of hiring a friend to murder his actress wife, Hope Harrison, following her filing for divorce. During a struggle at her home, Hope ends up killing the friend allegedly in self-defense. Did the beloved actor attempt to have his wife murdered, or is Hope far from an innocent victim? Twelve jurors and two alternates have been chosen and are sequestered for the trial, which promises to be a media circus. However, much of the true drama will be taking place among the jurors. Several of the jurors are trying to manipulate the others based on their own agendas. For example, Dee McCallister, Juror 6, is actually a different woman in disguise, and has interesting information about the other jurors.

This Jury Is Guilty is author Laurie Blake's debut. The story unfolds day-by-day inside the courtroom at the trial and behind the scenes, as the backstories of the jurors start to be revealed to the reader. While the trial of Hollywood's Golden Couple is intriguing in itself, the jurors are the true stars. How this collection of scheming people all found their way onto this one jury is beside the point. It's best to suspend disbelief and enjoy the ride.
