The Last Flight: two desperate women change identities and flights. One plane crashes.

The Last Flight is a gripping story of two women seeking to escape their lives.

Claire is the wife of Rory, an ambitious man from a political dynasty who is about to announce his run for US Senator. Behind all the smiles hides an abusive husband who has become increasingly more violent. And the suspicious death of a former girlfriend continues to remain in his background. Eva started life in the Foster Care system. She went to college with hopes of a career in science but her dreams were dashed when a relationship with her school’s star athlete brings her down. She has headed down a troubled path and now desperately wants to start a new life and find redemption.

The two women meet at JFK Airport before their flights and decide to exchange tickets and swap lives. Claire heads to Oakland, California. Eva heads to Puerto Rico. When the plane to Puerto Rico crashes, Claire is believed to have perished and she believes she is finally free. Yet she soon discovers that everything Eva told her about her life was a lie.

Claire’s story is told in the present and Eva’s story is told in the months and days leading up to the plane crash. The writing is excellent and this fast-paced book will grab you from the very beginning. You’ll feel for both women, who are very different but share the same anguish of being trapped.

Buckle up for an engaging, suspenseful ride.
