Rules for Aging and Larceny - four septuagenarian former thieves decide to reunite for one final heist.

Frances Deluca, recently widowed and feeling restless, has been expelled from her pickleball league due to her aggressive, competitive nature. It's been forty years since she and her three friends nearly got caught during their last heist. Despite one of them betraying the group, the idea of one more criminal escapade seems thrilling. After visiting each friend, they all agree to the plan. Their target is a Las Vegas hotel owner who swindled the granddaughter of one of the women out of a fortune. Although they're not as agile as they used to be, they are as smart as ever. And who would ever suspect them?

Rules for Aging and Larceny by Julia London joins a growing list of books about older adults breaking the rules. While it's filled with humor and a creative caper, the story has lots of heart as characters confront their own mortality, making it more than a cozy tale of seniors behaving badly. Well-described as Ocean's Eleven meets The Golden Girls, it was truly enjoyable to cheer them on.

Rated 4.25 out of 5 stars.
