Our Perfect Storm - two longtime friends may be headed for romance.

Francesca "Frankie" Gardiner and George Saint James have been best friends since childhood. Although they had drifted apart, when Frankie introduced George to her fiancé Nate, a slightly older man, George felt they weren't a good match. George agreed to be her best man but the night before the wedding, Nate called it off, with no explanation. Heartbroken, Frankie decides not to let her honeymoon go to waste and invites George to go with her. It was an opportunity for Frankie to heal and also mend her friendship with George. So, they headed to Tofino, a rainforest beach on Vancouver Island. 

In Our Perfect Storm, Carley Fortune has created an endearing, slow-burn romance that brings together two people who have always seemed to be perfect for one another but for reasons that are explained, never made that step in their relationship. The story alternates between the present and the past, starting with Frankie and George's first meeting at age eight. Over the years, both have faced family challenges. In Tofino, the chemistry between the two is obvious to everyone they meet. This is more than a "will they or won't they" story. It's about two people who are truly devoted to one another. The Tofino setting enhances the appeal of this story filled with longing.
