Cassia Park lives in Los Angeles and is approaching her fortieth birthday. She works as a matchmaker for her family's business, One & Only. Cassia is the last in her line, dating back to when her family lived in Korea, who has the mystical gift of being able to read faces, see past lives, and identify a person's "fated" match. Cassie knows who her "fated" match is, but for the past ten years, despite knowing his name (Daniel Nam), she hasn't been able to find him. When she meets Ellis Yang-Cohen, a landscape architect, after a biking accident, the attraction is immediate. But he's 28 and Cassia feels that he is too young for her. And he's not the "fated" match she's been searching for. When she meets Ellis' boss, she is stunned that he is none-other than Daniel Nam. 

One & Only by Maurene Goo is an enjoyable mix of romance combined with magical realism, centered around a close-knit Korean family. Will Cassia follow her destiny or create her own path in love? The characters in this lovely book were very appealing. This was a perfect book to read when you need a break from tense thrillers and highly emotional fiction. No wonder this book was a Read with Jenna pick.
