Frankie Green's life has been turned upside down. Recently divorced and out of a job, she has moved to an upscale London neighborhood, ready to start over. Her Persian cat, Blue, wanders the area and returns with a chilling note etched on his collar - Help Me. Frankie equips Blue with a cat camera collar to gather more information, and what she uncovers is shocking. However, taking action on the footage is complicated since what she is doing isn't legal. She must quickly learn more about her neighbors, a group of highly suspicious individuals. They all seem to harbor secrets, but which one is capable of murder?

Nine Lives by Catherine Steadman is a gripping thriller that will keep you on edge. With a sense of eeriness, it was hard to put the book down. The story is told in both the present and the past, as a young woman's boyfriend becomes her abductor. Cat lovers will adore Blue, experiencing the story from his unique pet's-eye-view.
