Miranda Nights - entertaining blend of legal intrigue and domestic relationships.

Miranda Quinn is a former Assistant District Attorney who has had some major ups and downs in her life. Everything is back on track. She has a wonderful husband, she is hosting a popular late-night, call-in radio show named Miranda Nights where she gives legal advice, and she has a close-knit group of family and friends. But Miranda's life, once again, starts to derail, beginning with the arrest of her best friend's sixteen-year-old son. His alleged crime could put him away for years. Just when she is trying to help, Miranda starts getting bizarre and threatening calls to her show from a man who may have a grudge against her. Her audience is intrigued by this strange caller. Miranda's sponsors are not, and it puts the show in jeopardy. The stalker's behavior elevates and puts Miranda in real danger.

I enjoyed author Gail Ward Olmsted's book Miranda Writes. Her latest, Miranda Nights continues the story two years later. It isn't essential that you read the first book, but it sets the stage for the sequel. Both are intelligent, witty, fast-paced stories. Miranda is a well-developed, great character who is smart and savvy. While not a steamy book, you can sense the passion she enjoys with her husband Eric. Miranda's relationship with her father is endearing, as is her devotion to her best friend Tracey. It's a very good blend of legal intrigue and domestic relationships worth checking out.

Many thanks to the author and publisher for the opportunity to read this impressive book in advance of its publication.
