It's been twenty-five years since Lorelei Glass was murdered in Seaside, Washington after going to the Wonderland amusement park with her friends. The true-crime documentary series Criminal Confessions is focusing its next season on Sam Figg, who is serving five consecutive life sentences for first-degree murder, having confessed to killing five young women, including the teenage Lorelei. But during the interview, he wants to set the record straight. Figg, dubbed the Carnival Killer, admits killing four women but insists he did not murder Lorelei. Her friends, Barb, now a local news reporter, and Nicolette, who goes by the name Cole and stars in the reality TV show Trophy Wives, survived but have kept what they know about the murder a secret. As the new owners of Wonderland prepare to reopen the park and revitalize Seaside after all these years, another body is found. Will the long-hidden secrets of the past finally be revealed?

In Heart of Glass, Jennifier Hillier returns to the setting of Wonderland (2015), with new characters, making it a companion book rather than a sequel. The intricate plot delves into the truth behind Lorelie's murder, and the disappearance of Trophy Wives cast members. With a richly atmospheric setting, this was an engaging, layered mystery filled with twists and suspense.
