Buyer Beware - a woman moves into a house with a mysterious history.

Ellie, a woman in her forties, has moved into her new home at 1 Delaney Row in the suburbs of Dublin. The house is sorely in need of renovation, yet Ellie appears to have limited funds and few possessions. She is not interested in bonding with her neighbors, but they are very interested in her. The local online neighborhood chat group hints that the house has a troubling history. Ellie, who has her own secrets, doesn't seem too concerned until strange things start happening at her home and she feels threatened. The story shifts to Erin, who pursuing a career in medical research. Her romance with Jason, however, might interfere with her plans. Then, we meet Hannah, a woman enjoying a fulfilled and successful life, running her own business, but a new romance poses a threat to her happiness. As the story progresses, it becomes evident that the lives of the three women's lives are intertwined. Could the mysterious house on Delaney Row be a part of all of their stories?

Buyer Beware by Catherine Ryan Howard is an intriguing mystery thriller that will keep you guessing. When a neighbor posts in the group chat, "I pray the house is happy now, at long last,” Ellie's starts delving into its history, and Howard keeps the reader in suspense. There are some big surprises ahead in this twisty tale told in multiple timelines and perspectives. Enjoy this clever book.
