Kirsten immediately leaves New Orleans and heads for Austin. She is unaware that she is next in line to be murdered and the hit man is following her every move. Kirsten’s half brother Zach, who has ties to the mob, shows up in Austin to help. Soon Kirsten and Adam’s widow Flora decide to work together to uncover the mystery of their husbands’ deaths, even when they don’t fully trust one another.
An Ambush of Widows is a satisfying thriller you won’t want to put down. Author Jeff Abbott has created a strong cast of suspicious characters making this an effective whodunit that will keep you guessing. This is a slow burn book which takes its time to percolate but once it gets going, it will thoroughly entertain you as the pieces of the puzzle come together with some twists you probably won’t see coming.
Many thanks to Grand Central Publishing and Novel Suspects Insiders for the opportunity to read An Ambush of Widows in advance of its release.
