Lucy has left Brooklyn and heads to Woodstock, NY to escape her abusive boyfriend. She soon becomes close friends with her neighbors Vera and John, an attractive and loving couple, as she hides out. The seemingly perfect couple may also be hiding their own secrets. When a scheme to fake John’s death goes awry, Lucy’s world starts to fall apart. Again. Will all her lies catch up with her? And is her abusive boyfriend on her trail?
All the Broken People is an excellent thriller with twists, turns and surprises around every corner. A good thriller gives you the false sense that you’ve figured it all out but nope – you haven’t. There are so many troubled, unreliable characters that you can’t trust any of them. This is a fast-paced book that you won’t want to put down.
This is author Leah Konen’s first thriller after writing young adult novels. Looking forward to her next twisty book.
