This Summer Will Be Different - a secret vacation romance gets more complicated over the years.

Lucy Ashby is supposed to be vacationing on Prince Edward Island at her best friend Bridget's family home. Bridget, who is running late, set three rules for their trip including the most important one: Don't fall in love with my brother. When Lucy, who everyone calls Bee, meets an incredibly attractive local man at a restaurant, they end up spending the night together. Sparks fly. And surprise, surprise. It turns out, he's none other than Bridget's brother Felix, who everyone calls Wolf. Lucy has no intention of telling Bridget her new secret. Five years later, Bridget is about to be married, but whisks Lucy away from all the final wedding preparations to visit Prince Edward Island. Bridget is clearly hiding something from Lucy. And Lucy has been hiding her affair with Felix all this time. What will happen when they are all together?

Since her wonderful debut in 2022, author Carley Fortune has delighted us with swoony summertime romance novels. Her first two books heavily tugged at the heart. While This Summer Will Be Different didn't require any Kleenex this time around, it was another enjoyable story set in a beautiful locale. And this time things get a little steamier. The characters are all appealing. Lucy comes from a judgmental home having received the only encouragement from a beloved aunt. Bridget is her very best friend and Lucy doesn't want to jeopardize the friendship, so she keeps her casual, no-strings attached relationship with Felix a secret. But it turns out that Felix happens to be a great guy, impossible to resist and is actually helping Lucy overcome many of her issues. Looking for a nice, enjoyable summer romance book? Look no further.
