A corrupt pharmaceutical company, Pharminex, is selling a drug for an unapproved / off-label use which could increase women’s fertility but has also shown to cause infertility. New sales rep Nora Quinn quickly learns what is going on. Investigative TV reporter Elle Berenson is working to break the story. The story takes us to the past and we learn about the Vanderwald family, owners of Pharminex, through the eyes of daughter Brooke, who is estranged from the family and Lacey, the ambitious daughter-in-law who loses her husband Trevor in a sailing accident. Back in present day, the family is preparing a gala fundraiser which is in Trevor’s name. Elle hopes to break the story before the gala. She and her assistant Meg scramble to put the feature together people are starting to die.
