Mean Moms - a fun, satirical look at ultra-wealthy private school moms.

Atherton Academy, located in Tribeca, NYC, is the private school to send your children to. That is, if you have the means and the connections. It's September, and the Atherton parents have returned from the Hamptons and other fabulous places and are back in their multi-million-dollar lofts, penthouses, and townhomes for another school year filled with fundraisers, themed parties, and gossip. On the first day of school, as the mothers drop off their precious children, all eyes are on the new mom, Sofia. Dressed unlike any of the other moms, this Colombian-born mother of two is gorgeous. Newly relocated from Miami, Sofia is eager to make friends and quickly gets accepted by the top clique of Belle, Frost, and Morgan. When unfortunate things start to happen to these "mean moms," who look down their noses at nearly everyone, they try to figure out who could be targeting them.

Welcome to the world of the rich and fabulous, courtesy of author Emma Rosenblum. Mean Moms takes a fun, biting, satirical look at the lives of women who have incredible privilege and see themselves as good mothers, charitable, and the best of friends (apparently, sleeping with a friend's husband doesn't count if it's kept a secret). As the incidents against them escalate, so does the schadenfreude. These characters may be figments of the author's imagination, but we've all met women like them. Enjoy this over-the-top tale.
